1. Who we are

GROFIT (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a fitness and nutrition application for iOS and Android and the website grofit.cc (together, the “Services”). This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to both the GROFIT mobile app and our website. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your name, email address, and login credentials. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive basic profile information from that provider.
• Health & fitness data. Information you log or generate in the app: meal photos and the nutrition estimates derived from them, food logs, workout routines and completed sessions, body metrics (such as weight, height, age, and goals), and progress history.
• Meal photos. Photos you take of your food are uploaded and processed by AI models to estimate their nutritional content. We use them only to provide this feature and your food history.
• Usage & device data. Basic technical data such as device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and how you interact with the Services, used to keep the app working and improve it.

3. How we use your information

• Provide the Services. Analyze meal photos, build and adapt workout routines, and power the AI coach with the context of your progress.
• Personalization. Tailor nutrition targets, recommendations, and coaching to your goals and history.
• Communication. Send service emails such as account confirmations, receipts, and important updates. Marketing emails are optional and you can unsubscribe anytime.
• Improvement & safety. Debug crashes, prevent abuse, and improve features. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

4. AI processing

GROFIT uses AI models to analyze meal photos and to generate coaching responses and workout plans. Your inputs (photos, logs, metrics) are sent to our AI processing partners solely to generate these results for you. They are not used to train third-party models, and are not shared for advertising purposes.

5. Who we share data with

We share data only with service providers that are necessary to run GROFIT, under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us:

• Clerk. Authentication and account management.
• Cloud hosting & database providers. Secure storage of your account and fitness data, and hosting of our website and backend.
• AI processing partners. Meal-photo analysis and coaching responses, as described above.
• Payment processors. If you purchase a subscription, payments are handled by the App Store, Google Play, or our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your data).

6. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual logs and photos in the app at any time, or delete your entire account from the app settings (or by contacting us), which permanently removes your personal data from our systems within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it.

7. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to production systems is restricted and authenticated. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard practices.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent. You can exercise most of these directly in the app, or by emailing us. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

9. Children

GROFIT is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest revision.
